High on a hill in Elbert County in Georgia, USA, there stands a lonely stone monument fondly refereed to as the Georgia Guide Stones. Erected in the 70s by an enigmatic figure calling himself R.C. Christian, in recognition of the work of one Thomas Paine, an occult philosopher, these stones have since been the subject of intense paranoia and speculation. They are not just a focal point of discussion on the concept of the New World order, but they are a draw for tourists. Lots of drawings actually.

You see, the engraved writings on these stones present us with what amounts to a description of what the writer thought of as an ideal world. So called ‘Extraterrestrial Contactees’ like Billy Mier, Rael, Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street, and many others, describe the same sort of thing, claiming that Aakon / Semjase / Yip Yip / whoever, comes from a planet that bears a striking resemblance to the descriptions on these stones.

The concepts outlined in these monolithic bastions of New World Order propaganda could be the basis of an entire thesis, however I’d like to sanitize in a few words what these stones are declaring to the world in as rational a manner as possible in the hope that fevered minds will be calmed somewhat!

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.

Wouldn’t that be fantastic? Not a mass cull., but in the reasonable spirit of these two lines, which is to take a responsible attitude to reproduction. What is intended is to prompt the reader to  take a look at what the optimum number of human beings is on this planet and to be mindful of the fact that our planet is not getting any larger! Someone should do a calculation. The surface area of the planet  and 500,000,000 people. I’m not saying that is an optimum, but the concept is a useful one to contemplate. A  reminder is given not to abuse the space we would have, but rather help keep a balance between the needs of humans and the needs of the planet.

Clearly our world can be argued to be excessively over populated right now. At least the current scenario is far from this ideal, where, lets say for arguments sake,  about 250 people in the world own and hoard half the world’s resources. I’m sure you’ve heard of this. The 1st world countries have behaved abominably towards developing countries with anti-competitive practices, designed to keep debtors indebted and desperate.

I would say that it is abundantly clear that is no malevolent government right now, secret or otherwise,  is guided by the concept of balance. On the contrary, the very individuals or corporate entities that are derided by the likes of this graffiti vandal are operating in a manner so far from this primary concept that it is laughable to think that they care about what these stones are saying. These so called New World Order conspirators love the status quo. They are feeding off the blood money that is siphoned off of the competing sides of wars that they start. They need imbalance. Let the reader contemplate that resounding truth with the rest of the declarations of these stones.

3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature.

I find it easy to put a political spin on absolutely any well intentioned statement. One can construe words to fit an agenda with aplomb if one is so inclined. I did it with this very concept right here! It is what the Nazis did, and ironically enough, the conspiracy minded morons who paint words of ignorance and hate onto these stones are themselves guilty of the very things they are accusing these phantom evil shadow government conspirators of; Hatred, Fear, Paranoia and a cowardly lack of political imagination.

Let’s not corrupt words like ‘beauty’, ‘love’, ‘balance’ and ‘faith’. We can take these words that are so readily strewn throughout the statements on this monument for what they are; guiding principles for life. In the words of Yoko Ono, “It’s a nice time to reaffirm ourselves, knowing all the beautiful things that are in this country and the Georgia Stones symbolize that”. Well, at least if we all work together, we can get closer to a better world.
